the quarantine has effectively removed everyone's third places and even second places for socialization. the psychic toll is worldwide. i've been feeling the stress especially this week as my need for human social interaction skyrocketed...buuuuut i'm also very lucky in that many of my friends are in the same career and i can literally seek them out via our mdt and hang out with them in the third places that are hospital triage areas or the infamous st. francis EMS breakroom. let's learn more about the concept of third places! here's an excerpt from wiki

anyway when I say watching tiger king saved my life it's because I got to watch it in the physical company of EMS friends (who also already probably have the 'ronas anyway) and the ability to forget about real life and watch Joe Exotic buy a husband with some meth and tigers was a freaking godsend
